HONORING FLIGHT 93: 40 FOR 40
Of the four planes hijacked on September 11, 2001, only United Airlines Flight 93 was diverted from its target (believed to be the Capitol Building or White House in Washington, DC). We have honored the 40 passengers and crew members whose heroic actions thwarted the attack in DC in many ways.

FLIGHT 93 NATIONAL MEMORIAL CONTEST
Hundreds of kids and several schools in PA participated in the Flight 93 Memorial Contest. The creativity was inspiring. The artifacts included cards, bracelets, murals, a Lego plane, and endless drawings. Hundreds of artifacts were delivered to the Flight 93 National Memorial on July 9th and July 26 of 2014. We will return once again this summer to honor the 40 heroes.
